2024 Budget to Be Extended by Six Months, Says Akpabio
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announces plans to extend the implementation of Nigeria’s 2024 budget by six months to ensure project completion and financial stability.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced that the Nigerian government will extend the duration of the 2024 budget until June 2025.
On Wednesday, Akpabio announced this during the joint session of the National Assembly.
He mentioned that the process of extending the budget is currently underway to enable full implementation of its capital component.
In light of these significant achievements, we have determined it necessary to extend the duration of the 2024 budget until June 30, 2025.
“The law allowing this extension has already been enacted by our dedicated Assembly, demonstrating our gratitude for the budget’s excellent performance and ensuring we continue to build on your progress,” Akpabio stated.
