In a late-Saturday video message to Ukrainians who were celebrating Christmas, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told them that by standing firm and not giving in to Russian aggression, they were doing their own version of a Christmas miracle.
“We persevered in the early stages of the conflict, enduring assaults, threats, nuclear blackmail, intimidation, and missile strikes. “We will persevere through this winter since we are aware of our goals he said. “It can’t be that delicious and cozy for dinner around the family table. There might be empty chairs nearby. “And it can’t be so light in our homes and streets,” he added.
But he also made the point that the Ukrainian people’s perseverance and faith make their path clear.
