Yahoo Boy, among others, was arrested by the EFCC in Benin for internet fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained twelve young people for alleged schemes.
One of the suspects detained in Edo State is Okunrobo Smart, also known as Yahoo Yahoo, who was convicted of online fraud in 2022.
Others include Osayi Gregory, Peace Omo Bartholomew, Justice Osagie Beggedo, Edobor Francis Tobilola, Samuel Okosun, Uche Divine, and Christopher Lawani Iwinosa. Desmond Ehator Osorumwense, Olaleye Favour, Osagie Hope Godstime, and Anthony Irabor are also in detention.

Wilson Uwujaren, a spokesman for the EFCC, said that they were found in Benin, where they were hiding, because of good information.
Among the items found at the scene of the arrest were mobile phones, laptops, and a Mercedes Benz C300.
Uwujaren noted that the suspects will soon be charged in court.
