The court was informed by the prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo, that the defendant had committed the offences on December 4 in her flat.
Leo claimed that the defendant beat co-tenant Farida Garba to a pulp in an incident.
He claimed that a dispute over a pail of water between the complainant and the defendant led to the assault.
He continued, saying that the defendant beat the plaintiff to a pulp, tore her clothes during the altercation, and breached Sections 166, 171, and 337 of the Kaduna State Penal Code, 2017.
Assault and property damage are punishable by three years in jail under Sections 171 and 337.
The defendant was given N100,000 in bail, with a further N100,000 for one surety, by Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel.
The hearing was postponed to January 15th after he ordered the surety to have a productive employment and to show proof of having paid taxes to the Kaduna State Government for two years.
