Wike’s PDP wins in the Rivers Governor election
The election for governor of Rivers State has been declared won by Similanayi Fubara, a PDP candidate.
The Returning Officer announced the outcome in Port Harcourt on Monday night and stated that Fubara received 302,614 votes. Pastor Tonye Cole, a candidate for governor for the All Progressives Congress (APC), received 95,274 votes for second place.
The incumbent governor, Nyesom Wike, has chosen Fubara as his candidate.
