The G5 group of governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remain members of the party despite their demands about the party’s leadership, according to the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organization.

Dele Momodu, the organization’s director of strategic communications, told reporters in Abuja that the fact that they were still party members was proof that there was still time for reconciliation.

Momodu was replying to a question about if the council was worried that Delta Governor Nyesom Wike seemed to support Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi in Port Harcourt on Thursday.

Momodu stated that he was aware that this was not Obi’s first time seeing Wike and his host in Port Harcourt.

However, he asserted that the governors’ continued membership in PDP was an indication of potential reconciliation.

“On the subject of the governors, I can’t tell if they’ve left the party or not since I’m not clairvoyant or a prophet.

The day after they do so, they will declare that they are leaving the party.
We’ll all be aware.

“So far, so good; they are still attending the celebration, which is great.

“There is still time for healing; all they are expressing is that they are unhappy, and we will keep praying for the restoration of harmony within the group.

According to him, the Atiku campaign council is “steadfast, concentrated, and nothing diverts our attention.”

Momodu asserted that Abubakar has solutions to the problems in response to the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics (NBS) report on poverty and the unemployment rate.

“You can’t offer what you don’t have, thus Atiku Abubakar is the greatest option,” the speaker said.

“When you look at everything he has accomplished in both his public and private lives, you will see that he is the most qualified and experienced candidate in the race.

There is no one close to him right now. He is the one that worked at the national level, therefore he is aware of what to do right away, according to Momodu.
