Femi Adesina, the chief spokesperson for President Muhammadu Buhari, revealed that his boss is eager to leave office.

Adesina emphasized that holding a position of authority requires a lot of labor and receives little gratitude from Nigerians.

In response to Buhari’s comment that he can’t wait to leave office, he made this revelation on Channels TV on Sunday night.

According to story from July, Buhari referred to his seven years in government as “difficult” in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu.

When he hosted lawmakers, political leaders, and several governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his home in Daura, Katsina State, for the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the president made it known that he was “ready to depart.”

Adesina responded to the news by saying, “Those of us who have been working with him since 2015 are likewise counting down, we can’t wait to go.”

Adesina responded to the question of why people want to leave the presidency by saying that it involves a lot of work and responsibility and may not be well-liked by the general public.

So when you are winding down, you are eager to leave.
