We’ve Been Working Diligently Without Seeking Attention or Media Hype – Fubara

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, emphasized that his administration has made significant achievements quietly, without seeking attention. He made these remarks during the unveiling of the Emohua/Kalabari Tema Junction Road in Rivers State on Friday. 

Providing insights into the project, Governor Fubara highlighted that the initiative aimed to showcase the tangible progress made by his administration, contrary to the claims of inactivity. He stressed that the government’s focus was on ensuring that marginalized communities felt the positive effects of governance.

Governor Fubara disclosed that the project had a total budget of N21.2 billion, with N6 billion allocated by the previous administration and the remaining N15.2 billion completed by his current administration. He proudly stated that 70% of the project was executed under his leadership, underscoring the government’s commitment to delivering on its promises. 

Furthermore, Governor Fubara asserted that the achievements of his administration should not be credited to past administrations, emphasizing the continuity of governance. He assured the people of Rivers State that his government would remain dedicated to its responsibilities and avoid being swayed by flattery.

In addition to the road project, Governor Fubara announced plans to extend the construction from Tema Junction to Abonnema, a decision that was met with enthusiastic approval from the crowd. The road inauguration event was graced by former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson, along with other political figures and traditional leaders from the state.
