Urologists: Marathon sex may result in penile fracture and impotence.

Urologists have told men not to do “marathon” sex because it could make them impotent for a long time.

Typically, a sexual marathon lasts for several hours or even days.

The doctors stressed that priapism, also called “marathon sex,” can lead to permanent impotence if it is not treated properly. Marathon sex is made worse by penile fracture and a constant erection.

The medical specialty of urology focuses on illnesses of the reproductive organs and urinary tract that can be treated surgically or medically.

Also, the urologists told people not to use sex-enhancing drugs without a doctor’s prescription because doing so could lead to erectile dysfunction.

Priapism happens when blood in the penis becomes clogged and unable to drain, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

It was made clear that if the problem isn’t fixed right away, scarring and long-term problems with getting an erection could happen.

The medical professionals emphasize that marathon sex and the use of illegal sex-enhancing chemicals are linked to a variety of health issues.

According to a consultant urologist, Dr. Gabriel Ogah, having “marathon” sex could be fatal.

Ogah, the managing director of Ogah Hospital and Urology Institute in Fugar, Edo State, provided insight into the risk of marathon sex and the usage of sex-enhancing medications. He said, “Of course, marathon sex can bring death and bad health.” If you are unfit for it, it could make your heart problems worse.

Marathon sex can cause priapism, particularly if you’re using drugs, and it can also cause a penile fracture. Moreover, they can potentially result in lifelong impotence.

“If a penile fracture or priapism happens during marathon sex and isn’t treated right away, it could lead to permanent impotence.”

“Priapism is an excessively long-lasting erection of the penis.” “The wrong choice of the penis” is what it is referred to as. When using medicines for prolonged sex, the penis could become resistant to dropping.

He claims that many young people today use sex-stimulating substances.

“It is not recommended.” I see a lot of young individuals today who use sex enhancers and develop priapism.

“I’ve performed surgery on four patients whose penises wouldn’t retract while they were having sex this year alone.

The penis lengthens to about 12 inches and doesn’t decrease at all. Before they can be removed, you must do surgery on them. And, in the previous two years, I have treated patients who, while having intercourse, suffered a penile fracture as a result of how they behaved or were positioned, according to the doctor.

The urologist advises prudence during sexual activity because the penis can shatter like a stick when it is erect.

He said, “I had surgery on one four months ago, and not only did the penis split in half, but the urethra did as well.” Before I can restore the penis, I must first heal the urethra.

“Marathon intercourse can cause a penile fracture, especially if the woman is on top, drunk on sex, and moving her buttocks around.”

“The penis will simply split in half and bend.” It requires surgery. The patient will never get an erection again in their entire life if the operation is not performed within 24 hours.

Ogah scowled at the frequency with which young people engage in marathon sex and suffer penile fractures.

“With mature individuals, we do not experience this issue.” The problem is most prevalent among young people. The most affected age group is between 18 and 30 years old, he said.

He advised against using sex-enhancing drugs unless they were prescribed by a doctor. Never use any sex-enhancing substances without a prescription from a doctor.

Another urologist, Dr. Bakare Hamzat, says that the bad side effects of sex-enhancing drugs could cause erectile dysfunction.

According to Hamzat, who works at the Alimosho General Hospital in Igando, Lagos’s Department of Surgery’s Urology Unit, using sex-enhancing medicines in excess is risky and harmful.

“The likelihood of them having erectile dysfunction is high.” “Priapism can be brought on by the side effects of sex-enhancing medicines,” he stated.

The urologist says that priapism patients who have surgeries that cause penile fractures may not be able to get long erections in the future.

The Mayo Clinic says that a penile fracture is different from other breaks in the body because the penis is not made of bones.

The penis becomes engorged with blood during an erection, filling two cylinders (the corpora cavernosa). An engorged penis can burst one of the two cylinders’ outer linings if it is bent abruptly or violently (tunica albuginea). A penile fracture could arise from this.

The clinic said, “Most of the time, the trauma is caused by sexual activity, like when the penis slips out of the vagina and hits the pelvis by accident.”
