In the Champions League, Arsenal overcame Sevilla thanks to a goal and an assist from Gabriel Jesus.
The Gunners prevailed against the seven-time Europa League champions after falling to Lens 2-1 in their previous European outing.
In the final seconds of the first half, Gabriel Martinelli gave the guests the lead after sprinting onto Jesus’ lovely pass and beating the custodian.
Then, early in the second half, Jesus extended Arsenal’s lead with a beautiful strike into the top corner.
Nemanja Gudelj’s goal from a set piece gave Sevilla, who had the support of a raucous home crowd, a chance to retake the lead.
As the hosts continued to try to score an equaliser, Arsenal came under significant pressure. David Raya deflected Mariano’s attempt into the crossbar, though it may not have counted due to a probable handball.
Jesus’ injury came as a late blow to Mikel Arteta’s team, but they held on to win the match and climb to the top of Group B despite that setback.

On the night Old Trafford paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton, Manchester United defeated FC Copenhagen 1-0 thanks to a stoppage-time penalty saved by Andre Onana.
Jordan Larsson, the son of former United player Henrik, saw his penalty saved with the game’s penultimate kick before Harry Maguire’s header in the 72nd minute proved to be the game-winner.
It was a remarkable way for the United and England legend, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 86, to be remembered on the night at Old Trafford. Following that, United put up a reserved display in the first half but then produced the kind of dramatic conclusion for which this club is renowned.
While still six points behind Group A leaders Bayern Munich, Erik ten Hag’s club is now only one point behind Galatasaray, maintaining their chances of moving on to the Champions League’s knockout rounds. A genuinely unique night, despite being unconvincing.
