“It happened around 11 p.m. on Sunday,” he stated. One of the landlords slept outside due to the heat. When they noticed him, they raised a gun to his head. When he took them to see his house at their request, they were not pleased with the type of home he lived in.
“Next to his residence were other large houses. They accompanied him and requested that he rap on a house’s gate. As a familiar neighbour, he knocked, and the gate opened for him. They entered the man’s home in this manner in order to abduct him.
“The second landlord returned home with a motorbike after experiencing problems with his car. They ambushed him as he was ready to enter his home and took him away.
According to the source, the kidnappers contacted the families and asked for N20 million in exchange for the landlords’ release.
“They called the two families to ask for N10 million each, two hours after their operation,” he stated. Instead of accepting his plea to pay N2 million and promising them they would receive it almost quickly, one of the families threatened to kill him if the N10 million was not paid in full.
