The Nigerian Army troops, as part of Operation UDO KA, recently carried out a clearance operation in Igboro forest, Abia State, in response to the killing of soldiers in Aba.

In an official statement issued by the Nigerian Army, it was reported that six suspected terrorists were neutralized during the operation, and a significant amount of weapons was seized.

The operation’s primary objective was to apprehend those accountable for the assault on soldiers in Aba and to recover arms and ammunition from the Indigenous People of Biafra and its associate, the Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) group.

Throughout the operation, troops encountered improvised explosive devices, resulting in minor injuries to one soldier.

Nevertheless, the terrorists’ resistance was effectively quelled, resulting in the elimination of six group members. Some members were able to flee with gunshot wounds.
