During special operations in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State, troops of the Nigerian Army’s One Division and Operation Whirl Punch have eliminated six terrorists and captured three suspects.

According to a statement from Samuel Aruwan, the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, the forces conducted a special fighting patrol to the Galadimawa general area in Giwa LGA in response to credible intelligence of terrorist operations in the region.

He added that during the operation, the military established a base of operations near Sabon Sara hamlet, where they found a herd of cattle that had been rustled and abandoned by the rebels as they fled the area quickly.

Before resuming their assault, the soldiers found the animals and gave them to the people.
