Troops Arrest Woman Allegedly Supplying Logistics to Bandits

Security forces apprehend a woman suspected of providing logistical support to bandits, as authorities intensify efforts to combat insecurity.

Soldiers from the 1 Brigade of Operation FANSAN YANMA have arrested a woman accused of providing logistics to bandits in Zamfara State.

As reported on Friday by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the arrest took place following intelligence reports that highlighted suspicious activities.

Based on the information received, authorities established a temporary checkpoint along the road from Kware to Badarawa in the Shinkafi Local Government Area.

Sources informed Makama that Shamsiyya Ahadu, a 25-year-old suspect, was found in possession of 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, six magazines, and a talisman known locally as ‘laya,’ implying her potential involvement in illegal activities.

During the operation, Ahmed Husaini, a motorcycle rider accompanying Ahadu, was also taken into custody.
