Tricycles in Zamfara now require mandatory registration by ZSIRS
On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service, or ZSIRS, announced that it would start its mandatory operation to apprehend tricycle operators who have not registered with the Board.
In an interview with reporters on Saturday in Gusau, the state capital, Executive Chairperson of the Service Hajiya Rakiya Ahmed Dodo made this announcement via Director of Information and Intelligence Gathering Alhaji Hadi Bawa Gusau.
According to Dodo, this became necessary because certain resentful people use the company as a cover for their illegal operations against law-abiding citizens.

“All operators are expected to register their vehicles immediately in order to avoid being fined by the enforcement team of the Service that will commence operation on Monday next week,” the executive chairperson continued.
The head of ZSIRS further stated that the implementation of mandatory registration was intended to help lessen the state’s security issues.
