A Nigerian woman has tragically passed away just weeks after moving to the UK with her children, leaving family and friends in deep shock and mourning.

Olubunmi Okeniyi, a Nigerian woman, has sadly died almost a month after moving to the United Kingdom with her two children.

Mrs. Okeniyi arrived in Sunderland on September 16, 2024, and passed away on Sunday, October 13.

The news of her passing was confirmed by the Nigerian community in the UK through a statement shared on X, a social media platform, on Monday.

In their message, they conveyed sincere condolences to the family and announced the start of a GoFundMe campaign designed to help cover burial expenses for the deceased.

The announcement expressed profound sorrow in sharing the news of Mrs. Olubunmi Okeniyi’s passing, who tragically died on October 13th, 2024 at 4:30 PM in Sunderland, UK.

Mrs. Olubunmi, who came from Nigeria with her two sons on September 16, 2024, is survived by her husband Mr. Jacob Okeniyi.
