By receiving a total of 231,591 votes from the state’s 23 local government areas, the All Progressives Congress won the February 25 presidential election in Rivers State.

This happened after the state’s collated results from the final two local government areas—including Governor Nyesom Wike’s Obio/Akpor and Degema—were delivered to Prof. Charles Adias on Tuesday night.

The Labour Party won five LGAs, the PDP four, and the APC 14 LGAs.

The findings from 21 of the state’s 23 LGAs were collected and given to Prof. Adias, who is also the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, at the conclusion of Monday’s proceedings.
