Tinubu visits the victims of the Birnin Gwari bandits’ attack while in Kaduna for rally
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),, arrived in Kaduna State on Tuesday for the North-West flag-off of the party’s presidential and gubernatorial campaign rallies.
The APC candidate for president was joined by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, and the Governors of Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje, Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu, and Jigawa, Abubakar Badaru.
At the Dana Airport in Kaduna, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Senator Uba Sani, the APC candidate for governor of the state, and other top Kaduna state government officials met them.
After landing in Kaduna, the former governor of Lagos State went to Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, which is one of the districts that has been hit hard by insurgency and banditry.
He is in the area to express his sympathies to the attack victims and to learn firsthand about the destruction caused by the strikes.
In the midst of heavy security, Tinubu is beginning the 2.5-hour road trek to Birnin Gwari.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai, the APC candidate for governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, and members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council are with him.
