The AlaIgbo Development Foundation (ADF) has urged President Bola Tinubu to address the ongoing killings of innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen in the south-east, southern Nigeria, and the Middle Belt.

The group expressed concern over the fact that these killers are never apprehended or prosecuted by law enforcement agencies.

Chief Abia Onyike, the National Secretary of ADF, emphasized the need for the Federal Government to take serious measures to prevent Nigeria from descending into a religious war, as the consequences would be catastrophic.

The ADF also opposes the open grazing of cattle, citing the conflicts and violence it often leads to.

While they support the policy of ranching, they believe that it should be the responsibility of private individuals and not the government to provide lands and financial resources for ranching facilities.

The ADF welcomes the decision of some Yoruba and Ijaw ethnic groups to pursue self-determination within the Nigerian Federation, but emphasizes the importance of peaceful and non-violent approaches in their struggles.
