Tinubu renames the Environment Ministry and redistributes Oyetola and Tunji-Ojo
According to Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, the modifications are effective right away.
Adegboyega Oyetola, a former governor of Osun State and minister-designate, was moved from the Ministry of Transportation to the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy on Sunday by President Bola Tinubu.
Another minister-designate, Abubakar Momoh, was also transferred by the President from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development.
The Federal Ministry of Youth will shortly be given to a Minister-Designate, according to a statement released on Sunday by the presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
According to the presidential spokesman, the modifications are effective right away.
Ngelale claims that in addition to moving Sa’idu Alkali to the Ministry of Transportation, Tinubu also moved Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, a minister-designate, to the Ministry of Interior.
“Furthermore, both Ministers of State for Oil and Gas are now based at the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the following titles:
“(i) The Hon. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources is Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri
“(ii) The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Gas, Ekperipe Ekpo
The Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management will now be known as the Federal Ministry of Environment, with the President’s approval.
The President reserved the position of Minister of Environment and Ecological Management for Kaduna State last week and assigned portfolios to the 45 ministers-designate.
