After receiving 8,794,726 votes, Tinubu defeated former vice president and Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar to win the presidency on February 25. (PDP).

President-elect Bola Tinubu has delighted with Christians on Easter as Nigerians join their counterparts around the world in celebrating the holiday.

“Reflect on the incomparable sacrifice and unlimited love of God for mankind,” Tinubu reminded Nigerians in his Easter message on Sunday.

Easter is about rediscovering hope and redemption, Tinubu wrote on Twitter. It stands for the victory of love over hate and condemnation, as well as the triumph of optimism over pessimism. In the benefit of our country, let’s reaffirm our commitment to edifying and patriotic endeavors by embracing this spirit.

Love Your Neighbor
The incoming president of Nigeria encourages his countrymen to embrace this holiday season as an opportunity to show one another love regardless of their religion, language, or clan.

He advised Nigerians to keep in mind that they have a duty as God’s children to demonstrate the virtue of love while the celebration continues.

As we rejoice, let’s not forget that we have a duty to love our neighbors as ourselves, regardless of their race, religion, or nationality.

“For Christians globally, this festival honors Jesus Christ’s selfless life and supreme sacrifice for humanity’s salvation. And as we celebrate Easter this year, let us all internalize the central theme of Christ’s ministry and genuinely start loving our fellow Nigerians as we love ourselves, said Tinubu.

The former governor of Lagos also urged the citizens of the most populous country in Africa to avoid dividing, localized, ethnic, and religious attitudes and rivalries.
