Tinubu Honours New Service Chiefs With Higher Ranks At Presidential Villa

The newly appointed Service Chiefs were officially decorated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This significant ceremony formally marks the start of their term as the nation’s top defence officers.

The ceremony was attended by the vice president, Senator Kassim Shetimma, prominent government officials, and officers’ families.

The National Assembly has conducted a thorough examination of the Service Chiefs, whose appointments were officially announced on June 19th.

They are currently the principal architects of Nigeria’s defence and security plans, having successfully undergone the parliamentary inspection.

President Tinubu, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief, awarded the new Service Chiefs with their higher office insignia, symbolising the weight of the responsibilities they now bear.

Each Chief, dazzling in their uniforms emblazoned with their high office’s emblems, pledged their commitment to safeguarding the Nigerian state’s peace, unity, and security.
