The troll war between the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Atiku Abubakar may not end anytime soon since each side takes advantage of any chance to criticise the other.

In order to usher in a new era of prosperity, infrastructural renaissance, and human capital developments, Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, urged the people to collect their Permanent Voters cards and vote APC during the party’s presidential campaign rally held on Monday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

If the populace makes the error of electing the PDP, Tinubu warned, its candidate “may sell your palms and run to Dubai.”

He told the people to arm themselves with PVCs and join the massive revolution. He promised to end the sense of insecurity, spark the crisis, and create an environment that would allow social and economic activity to grow in the country.

“You have the ability to become president,” he remarked. God will grant you the ability to make it happen through your PVCs by giving you the command, “Emilokan” (this is my turn). So, if you don’t have it, go acquire it because you will be placed in appropriate positions if God blesses me as your next president. However, if given the chance, Atiku will buy your palm trees and flee to Dubai.

When Atiku served as Olusegun Obasanjo‘s vice president, he engaged in willful sleazy dealings and sold off some national assets, of which he ended up being the sole benefactor. He also labelled the former vice president as a man who cannot be trusted.

Obong Umana Okon Umana, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Godswill Akpabio, the Vice Chairman of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Obong Nsima Ekere, the Chairman of the rally organising committee, and Atuekong Don Etiebet, a member of the APC Board of Trustees (BoT), all gave Tinubu the assurance that the state and the south would support the APC.
