Tinubu has addressed the situation following Ngelale’s exit, providing an official response and discussing future steps.

Ajuri Ngelale, the official spokesperson of President Bola Tinubu, was acknowledged for his departure. On Saturday morning, he shared that he will be taking an indefinite leave to prioritize family health concerns and attend to personal matters.

Ngelale conveyed his resolution in a memorandum to the office of the Chief of Staff.

In the evening, the presidency issued a statement that confirmed Tinubu had accepted Ngelale’s request for leave and expressed appreciation towards his service.

According to the statement, Chief Ajuri Ngelale’s memo informing of his indefinite leave due to personal and health reasons has been received by the President. Ngelale was praised by President Tinubu for his commitment and hard work in contributing to national discourse and spearheading significant undertakings, including taking action on climate change.
