Three Suspected Cultists Apprehended by Kwara Police

The Kwara State police command has successfully apprehended three suspected cultists believed to be involved in the recent violent clash between rival cult groups in Budo-Oke, Eiyenkori area of Asa Local Government.

Among the arrested individuals are Suleiman Ismail, Mamud Ibrahim, and Mudashir Saeed, all residents of the area, who were found in possession of a dangerous weapon during their arrest.

In addition to the arrests, two buildings were destroyed during the clash, as reported by Obasanjonews.com.

The police spokesperson, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, confirmed that efforts are being made to capture other suspects involved in the incident.

The altercation that led to the clash initially involved two suspected cultists, Adams Isah and Rasaq Olorunwa, resulting in a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of Adams Isah.

The situation escalated as members of the victim’s cult group sought revenge, prompting swift action from the police to prevent further violence.

The suspects are currently under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department, while a search is ongoing to locate Rasaq Olorunwa and other individuals who may have fled the scene.
