Inspector Of Police Cuts Wife’s Hand Off For N20,000

An unidentified Police Inspector is alleged to have severed his wife’s hand during a minor disagreement over N20,000.

The incident took place in the Dong area of Jos North local government area in Plateau State. The Inspector had left the money at home and when he returned to search for it, an argument ensued, leading to the violent act.

The State Police Command has confirmed that the suspect is in custody and the investigation is ongoing. The Police Spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo, stated that the man is currently at the State CID and emphasized that the case is being thoroughly investigated.

The victim, who is pregnant, has been hospitalized following the incident. A concerned neighbor revealed that the argument escalated when the wife refused to give the man N3,000 from the N20,000. The motive behind the Inspector’s violent act remains unclear.
