Residents of Sagwari Layout Estate Dutse, Abuja are living in a state of palpable fear following the killing of three victims by the kidnappers who had previously abducted ten individuals from the area.

The gunmen, armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed the estate on January 7 and took at least ten people hostage.

Recent reports indicate that the terrorists have raised their ransom demand from N60 million per person to N100 million, totaling N700 million, as the sole condition for the victims’ release.

The victims were allegedly killed due to the delay in meeting the initial ransom demand. Unfortunately, the Police Public Relations Officer in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT command, could not be reached for comment at this time.
