The people in charge of the Osun State Inter-Party Advisory Council have asked the state government to change its mind about firing teachers who were hired by the previous government.

This is said in a statement that the Council Chairman, Mr. Wale Adebayo, physically signed on Tuesday in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, but only sent to Abuja today.

The leader of IPAC asked the administration to change its mind about the issue and not listen to people who said that all of the teachers affected were members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“We ask the Governor to change his mind on the matter because there were many ads for teachers, tests were given, and letters of appointment were sent to those who passed,” he said.

Adebayo said that, contrary to what some people have said, it was almost impossible for the previous government to bring in APC supporters to the area.

He said that most of the teachers’ lives had become hard because they weren’t getting paid, and he added, “I want to beg the Osun State Government to weigh its position on not paying them their salaries in good conscience.”

“At IPAC, we applaud his high efforts to turn around the state’s fortunes.” The government must take measures to ease the suffering of the affected teachers because they are Osun State natives.

“Teachers continue to walk with pride in their teaching profession wherever they are because of the significant contribution they make to the development of both the individual and the nation.” Please take the necessary action, Mr. Governor.
