In a letter written by his lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN), Ayinde explained the reasons behind his decision.

He acknowledged that as a public office holder, scrutiny and criticism from the public are expected, but he emphasized the importance of truth and fairness in such criticisms.

In response to this development, Iba Gani Adams, through his lawyer Oluwole Kehinde, expressed his appreciation for Ayinde’s decision to drop the claim and acknowledged its value.

This comes after a legal dispute between Ayinde and Adams over an alleged distorted audio voice note that was released to the media by Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Igboho, which Adams claimed had tarnished his image.
