Supreme Court judgment: Police personnel dispatched to volatile areas in Bauchi
The Bauchi State Police Command has taken measures to ensure security in the state ahead of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the governorship election.
In a statement released by the spokesperson of the command, Superintendent Ahmed Wakili, it was revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Muhammad, has instructed all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers to conduct confidence-building patrols and prevent any attacks on citizens.
The statement also emphasized that any celebrations or rallies by political party supporters must not infringe on the rights of others and that the police will take decisive action against anyone who violates this order or disrupts the peace.
Security agencies have been deployed strategically to enforce these measures.
