Super Falcons players from Abia are welcomed by Otti and honoured
The four Abia State Super Falcons players were hosted by Abia State Governor Alex Otti in his rural residence in the state’s Isiala Ngwa South LGA.
Otti, his wife Pricilla, and a few of his aides welcomed the four Falcons, and the Governor and his wife praised the female athletes for their exceptional bravery and patriotism during the just finished FIFA Female World Cup, which was held by Australia and New Zealand.
The Falcon players, whom the Abia Governor praised for their outstanding performance and for making Abia State and Nigeria proud, have emerged as role models for young people in Abia and throughout Nigeria, according to the governor.
Glory Ogbonna, a native of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Christy Ucheibe, Uchenna Kanu, and Esther Okoronkwo were among the Falcon players acknowledged.
The players appreciated the kind welcome they received from Governor Otti and the Abia State government, who made them the centre of attention at the Governor’s mansion.
