Super Falcons are attempting to beat New Zealand in a friendly encounter
Onome Ebi, the captain of the Super Falcons, stated that the squad is eager to continue its unbeaten run before to today’s (Tuesday) friendly match against New Zealand.
In the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya, Randy Waldrum’s team will compete against the co-hosts of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
In a previous friendly, the West Africans defeated Haiti 2-1.
With the 1-0 victory over Costa Rica in February, it was the team’s second straight triumph.
Before the victory over Costa Rica, the Super Falcons went seven games without a victory.
Ebi said it’s critical for the group to maintain its winning streak.
Ebi stated to thenff.com, “We have to sustain the form that we have gained over the previous two games.”
“It’s crucial for us to maintain the lead, to keep winning, and to believe that we can always outclass our opponents. The spirit has returned, and we intend to keep it going.
The match today will begin at 2:00 PM Nigerian time.
