The Super Bowl performance by Rihanna features a very special guest.

With a career-spanning mix of pop hits, Rihanna made her long-awaited stage comeback at the Super Bowl, but the talk was all about her growing baby bulge.

The megastar debuted in the stadium’s air on a floating stage while wearing a clinging red outfit with a moldable bustier and a belt that many observers assumed concealed a future little RiRi.

The singer’s representatives confirmed the rumours to Rolling Stone and The Hollywood Reporter: Rihanna is expecting her second child.

The 34-year-old gave birth to her son, who she had with rapper A$AP Rocky, in May.

In terms of music, those who expected some new songs were let down: Rihanna’s performance on the greatest platform in the world was a nostalgia trip through old favourites.

She sang her club hits, such as “Where Have You Been” and “Only Girl (In the World),” as well as the classic “We Found Love.”

A sea of dancers did breathtaking acrobatics as they sang songs like “Rude Boy,” “Work,” and “All of the Lights” during the show.

The programme was completed by “Wild Thoughts,” “Run This Town,” “Umbrella,” and, of course, “Diamonds.”

Unlike many celebrities, she did not invite any special guests to perform; instead, she held centre stage by herself.

The event represented an about-face for Rihanna, who had earlier declined the job in opposition to how the National Football League handled racial issues.

But the Barbados-born singer said it was “essential for representation” for her to take the coveted position this time.

She explained, “My son has to witness this.”

Robyn Rihanna Fenty has taken a vacation from singing since the early 2016 release of “Anti,” but she hasn’t exactly taken it easy: she’s become a billionaire by transforming her musical successes into prosperous beauty, lingerie, and high-fashion enterprises.

Since the release of her previous album, Rihanna has made sporadic guest appearances, and more recently, she has composed music for the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack.
