A disturbing scene unfolded in Lagos as a man jumped into the river after using colorado, drawing attention to the risks of drug abuse.

A tragic incident occurred in the Alagbado area of Lagos State, where a 45-year-old man named Kazeem took his own life after ingesting a hard drug referred to as Colorado.

The event took place on October 11 at approximately 11 a.m.

In a statement on Sunday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Lagos State, confirmed the details.

Kazeem, allegedly under the influence of drugs, started displaying erratic behavior and eventually jumped into the Odo Tente River, situated at the border between Lagos and Ogun State.

Although efforts were made to save him, Kazeem tragically drowned in the river.

Detectives from the Alagbado police division arrived at the scene to document the incident and took photographs for further investigation.

Following local traditions, Kazeem’s father was informed and instructed to have his son’s body buried by the riverside.

The police have initiated an investigation to gather more information about this tragic incident and to highlight the risks associated with drug abuse, especially the rising consumption of potent substances such as Colorado.
