Hip-hop musician Phenom from Nigeria has described how he developed a drug addiction, claiming that he began using drugs after entering the music business.
He claimed that consuming cannabis gave him the idea for his first successful song, which is how he got hooked to the drug.

The rapper claimed that he believed swallowing would spur him to produce more successful music.
In the most recent edition of the Terms and Conditions podcast, Phenom gave a speech.
But he said that he no longer uses narcotics.
“I wasn’t doing drugs before music,” he declared. But I’m not using drugs anymore. I was utilising it to increase my originality.
“I used to just puff when I first started smoking. And I recall writing my first hit song the day I started smoking. Igbo [cannabis] gave me my hit song, in my opinion. That’s why I kept returning. I performed “Murder Dem” in Igbo with Wizkid. They were holding me in the studio to record since I was so high. I felt like smoking pot was my source, so I kept going back to it.
