At least four individuals, including the son of a traditional ruler, have tragically lost their lives in a violent clash that took place during the recent Sallah celebration in Bauchi.

According to Obasanjonews.com, the clash occurred between two local security groups: Yan Ba Beli, an armed group fighting against bandits, and a group of hunters who were accompanying the District Head of Miri.

The incident unfolded during a traditional procession to the Government House, where the Yan Ba Beli group allegedly disrupted the procession, leading to a confrontation.

Witnesses claim that the disruption was unprovoked, as the Yan Ba Beli members assaulted some of the horse riders with sticks.
