Soldiers in Kaduna kill bandit and free six kidnapped victims
At least six abducted victims have been freed by Nigerian Army troops, while one of the bandits terrorising the Hayin Tsando general area of Maraban Jos in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been murdered.
This information was released in a statement on Saturday in Kaduna by Lt. Col. Musa Yahaya, acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 1 Division, Nigerian Army.
Yahaya said that during the operation, troops successfully freed six abducted victims, found two AK-47 firearms, and killed one bandit while a number of others managed to flee with gunshot wounds of varied severity.

“The ongoing clearance operation by troops of the Nigerian Army’s 1 Division has continued to produce positive results,” he stated.
“During the operation, troops successfully freed six kidnapped victims, seized two AK-47 rifles, and killed one bandit while others fled with gunshot wounds of varying severity,” the statement reads.
Yahaya cited Maj Gen Valentine Okoro, General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Force Commander Operation Whirl Punch, as praising the soldiers’ valour.
Additionally, he exhorted the troops to maintain their relentless pace until all criminal elements in the division’s jurisdiction were totally eliminated.
