Suspected terrorists launched a brutal attack on Libere Gari village in Kaduna State, resulting in the tragic deaths of six individuals and leaving many others wounded.

The armed militants, numbering over 50, besieged the village and unleashed chaos by firing indiscriminately, causing terrified residents to flee in fear for their lives.

Along with the loss of lives, the assailants set fire to 25 motorcycles and pillaged food stores, exacerbating the suffering of the already impoverished community by depriving them of essential resources and means of transportation.

This violent incident is part of a disturbing pattern of violence that has plagued the region, with a recent attack in the neighboring Sabon Gari Libere community claiming the lives of three innocent civilians.

The area has become a focal point of insecurity, marked by frequent abductions of farmers by terrorist groups believed to be hiding in the expansive Kajuru forests that stretch into neighboring Chikun.

Despite attempts to seek information from the Kaduna police command, the Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, remained unresponsive to inquiries, underscoring the challenges faced in addressing the escalating security crisis in the region.
