Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a contentious Islamic scholar, has called Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, a satan.

Gumi made the statement in response to Wike’s invitation of the Israeli ambassador to Nigeria to his office and his plans to work with Israel on Abuja’s security challenges. Wike was criticised for his actions.

The minister intends to turn Abuja into a satellite city of Tel Aviv, according to a sermon posted on his Facebook page.

Muslims in Abuja with beards, he warned, would be identified as Osama Bin Ladin and executed.

He emphasised that it was risky to put the nation’s security in the hands of Christians and people from the South.

Gumi claims, quoting himself, “I said that earlier when he was appointed and several people were complaining. The Minister of the FCT is a Satanic person.

“Someone sent that he went and brought the Israeli Ambassador, and I haven’t watched it yet. However, it is true that they will work with the Israelis to address Abuja’s security challenges as he stated.

“Abuja will now become an extension of Tel Aviv, and when they see anyone with a beard like us, they will say it is Bin Laden, and we will be killed.”
