Sheik AbdulJabar Nasiru Kabara was found guilty of blasphemy against the Prophet of Islam and was given the punishment of hanging by a Kano senior magistrate presided over by Justice Ibrahim Sarki Yola.

Sheik AbdulJabar Nasiru Kabara was accused of making commonplace comments about the prophet Muhammad, and the magistrate found him guilty of all the charges brought against him by the state administration.

In his last written address, which was dated and filed on September 20, the defendant asked the court to throw out the lawsuit that the Kano State Government had filed against him and tell the state to apologize to him.

But after four witnesses testified, Mamman Lawan-Yusufari, SAN, the lawyer for the prosecution, ended the case. The defendant, on the other hand, called one witness and used 24 books and memory cards to back up his claims.
