Senate president Akpabio advises Davido not to get involved in politics at all costs

During a courtesy visit in Abuja, Senate President Godswill Akpabio took the opportunity to advise popular Afrobeat singer Davido against getting involved in politics.

Akpabio expressed his delight at receiving Davido and commended him for his contributions to the country.

He emphasized that despite their different political affiliations, the interest of the country should be the priority for everyone.

Akpabio urged Davido to continue being a great ambassador for Nigeria in the entertainment industry and not to allow anyone to drag him into politics.

He assured the singer that the political arena values talents and that they would support the entertainment industry and talented individuals like him.

Akpabio concluded by emphasizing the need for patience and prayers for success in their endeavors.

In response, Davido shared the purpose of his visit with the Senate President.

He mentioned his efforts to assist society through his foundation, where he annually donates millions of Naira to orphanages.

Additionally, he revealed that he has a new album scheduled for release in June or July of the current year.

Davido expressed his gratitude for the support and efforts of Akpabio and thanked him for everything he has done for them.

During the visit, Davido was accompanied by two of his cousins, Tunji Adeleke and Folasade Adeleke, who are the son of his late uncle, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, and the daughter of the Governor of Osun State, respectively.
