The Otukpo bank heist victims were remembered during a moment of silence observed by the Senate on Monday, October 24.
The incident happened on October 20, 2023, a Friday.

The Senate debated a motion requesting that the police launch an immediate inquiry into the incident before passing the resolutions.
Senator Abba Moro (PDP-Benue South) made the motion.
The Senate also urged the police to look into the circumstances that led to the attack and to solve the puzzle of the police’s incompetence and inattention on the day of the attack.
