The former CBN head allegedly made remarks in a recent video linking the Benue governor to the event in Nasarawa, according to a statement from Ortom’s spokesperson.
The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Lamido Sanusi, has come under fire from the governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, for allegedly trying to pin the blame for a recent air strike in Nasarawa that killed numerous herders on Ortom.
Ortom gave a speech on Tuesday at the opening of the DOHAPITU Clinic at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital in Makurdi, the state capital, which houses the Benue Sexual Assault Referral Center.
Sanusi made remarks in a recent video connecting Ortom to the event in Nasarawa, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur.
The governor of Benue reaffirmed that the incident’s origin is currently under investigation by the appropriate authorities.
The deposed Emir [of Kano] called on the Benue governor to learn from his brother governors on how to manage the diversity in his state, citing the governor of Plateau State as his model. “In the video, which, to all intents and purposes, was aimed at profiling Governor Ortom before the Fulani race,” he explained.

Apparently due to the reverence with which the 14th Emir of Kano views human life, Ortom does not want to engage in conflict with him.
Nevertheless, the governor argued that the anti-open grazing law, to which Sanusi is said to have referred in the video, was a lawfully enacted statute that set out consequences for infractions.
He continued by saying that neither he nor the Benue State Government had the ability to send any military equipment, including drones, anywhere in the nation.
“I will formally respond to that wicked proposal to Mr. President against me at the proper moment,” Ortom said.
I’ll share my experience and reveal the wickedness being carried out by people who are thought to be well-educated, well-known, and in positions of leadership.
