Former Dutch striker Robin van Persie has been appointed as the new head coach of Feyenoord, marking a new chapter in his managerial career.

Robin van Persie, a former Netherlands international and Feyenoord legend, has reportedly been named the new head coach of Feyenoord with a contract extending until June 2027.

The Dutchman, who had a spectacular playing career with clubs such as Feyenoord, Arsenal, and Manchester United, is about to begin a new phase in his football journey by leading the Eredivisie giants.

Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his X account (formerly Twitter) that Rene Hake will join Van Persie’s coaching staff.

Hake previously served as an assistant to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, providing valuable experience to the revamped Feyenoord technical team.

Van Persie started his professional journey at Feyenoord, eventually achieving stardom in the Premier League. He has been steadily enhancing his coaching expertise by working with the club’s youth program and serving as an assistant coach, making his promotion to head coach a logical step forward.

“Robin van Persie has been appointed as the new head coach of Feyenoord, with a contract extending until June 2027. Additionally, former assistant to Erik ten Hag, Rene Hake, will be joining his coaching staff,” Romano reported.
