Rivers Assembly is rocked by an explosion as Governor Fubara faces impeachment

On Sunday night, there was an explosion in the Rivers State House of Assembly compound.

obasanjonews24 learned that at approximately 9:25 p.m., a few people who were maybe involved in arson launched an explosive into the complex.

The incident occurred in the wake of purported attempts by certain MPs to remove Governor Siminalayi Fubara from office.

Meanwhile, more than 50 Federal Security officers have been mobilised at the site, while more than 17 security vans and four armoured personnel carriers (APC) have been positioned at the property.
