Reasons why Igbo community should back and protect Tinubu’s government- Benjamin Kalu
Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu has called on the South East region to show their support and defend the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing that the President has provided them with a sense of belonging.
Kalu expressed his belief that the President has good intentions for both the Igbo people and the entire country, urging critics to take a step back and try to understand the government’s policies.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Kalu highlighted the gradual rebound of the economy, with an increasing number of investors showing interest in the country.
He assured that within a few months, the value of the Nigerian Naira will improve by at least 25% against the US dollar.
Kalu made these remarks during a dinner held in honor of former Abia Speaker, Martins Azubuike, who was recently appointed as a pioneer federal commissioner in the newly established Civil Service Commission for the Federal Capital Territory, representing the South East geopolitical zone.
Kalu emphasized the need to support the government and discourage social media criticism, stating that it is time for the South East to be fully integrated into the nation’s development.
He also highlighted the positive outlook for the Naira and the increasing number of investors, expressing hope for the future and urging patience.
Kalu concluded by reminding the audience of the Igbo representation in key positions, such as the protection of oil and gas resources by an Igbo man in the Navy, emphasizing that the resources of the country are in the hands of someone who is protecting them.
