RCCG Pastor Honored in Morocco for Integrity After Returning Overpayment
A pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) received recognition in Morocco for his honesty after returning funds that were mistakenly overpaid to him.
Olusegun Oluleye, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and an employee at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), was recently recognized in Morocco for his integrity. He returned 430 dirhams (equivalent to N192,000) that had been mistakenly overpaid to him during a currency exchange transaction.
Oluleye received recognition for his honesty at a workshop organized by North East Consultancy Limited.
During an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, he described how he discovered being overpaid at a bureau de change in Morocco. Once aware of the mistake, he notified Ahmed Gombe, CEO of North-East Consultancy Limited. Mr. Gombe confirmed the overpayment and organized for the funds to be returned to their rightful owner.
“I am always satisfied with what I have and believe in returning anything that isn’t mine,” Oluleye stated. “I urge Nigerians to embrace honesty and represent their country positively wherever they are.”
Gombe commended Oluleye as the “outstanding participant” of the workshop, highlighting his “remarkable behavior and exemplary conduct.”
The Moroccan Tourism Agency and local police also praised Oluleye, describing him as a “true ambassador” of Nigeria for his integrity.
