Rail services between Abuja and Kaduna resume December 5 – FG

The federal government has stated that service would eventually restart on the rail route between Abuja and Kaduna on December 5, 2022.

The Nigeria Railway Corporation’s (NRC) Managing Director, Mr. Fidet Okhiria, guaranteed that all was now ready for the rail services to resume.

To effectively book for the train services, he advised travelers who wanted to use the service to start upgrading their mobile apps as of December 3.

According to him, AK 1 would leave Idu Station at 9:45 a.m. and arrive at Rigasa Station at 11:53 a.m. to start the services with two trips from Abuja to Kaduna and vice versa.

KA 2 will leave Rigasa at 8:00 a.m. and arrive at Idu station at 10:17 a.m., he continued.

He said that KA 4 would leave Rigasa at 14:00 and arrive at Idu Station at 16:07 and that AK 3 would depart Idu Station at 15:30 and arrive at Rigasa Station at 17:38.

The Federal Government is dedicated to guaranteeing the safety of people and property on board its train at all times, he said while assuring passengers of their safety throughout the trip.
