President Tinubu meets with service chiefs before the G-20 Summit in India

President Bola Tinubu has met briefly with his service chiefs to receive an operational update prior to his planned trip to India to attend the G-20 conference.

The meeting, a regular occurrence at the Presidential Villa, was attended by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Navy, Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar.

The President is briefed on the country’s overall security status during a meeting held behind closed doors at Aso Rock. Service chiefs are also given an overview of areas where they must step up their efforts to fix holes in security.

In the afternoon, Tinubu would go to New Delhi, India, to attend the G-20 Leaders Summit.
