President Tinubu Appoints New NYSC Director-General
President Bola Tinubu has appointed a new Director-General for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Read more about the new leadership and what it means for the scheme.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu as the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), with immediate effect.
Prior to his appointment, Brig. Gen. Nafiu served as the Chief of Staff to both Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, the current Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and previously under the late Lt. Gen. Raised Abiodun Lagbaja in the same capacity.
Nafiu, a participant in the 47th Regular Course, is an experienced Artillery Officer who has received training from both the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the U.S. Army War College. He also served as Directing Staff at Nigeria’s Army War College before taking on the role of Chief of Staff to the COAS.
Originally from Ileogbo in the Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State, Brig. Gen. Nafiu succeeds Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, with high expectations for his leadership in the NYSC.
